“Financial Engineer”
Responsibilities
• Develop and validate financial models (mainly equity volatility model, trading model, and derivative pricing/hedging model) in either MATLAB/VBA/Python
• Analyze the model impact on product design and hedging.
• Quantitative research for new product development of Derivatives and Trading.
• Develop and test trading strategies/tools used by traders.
• Provide documentation of quantitative research processes, results, and testing procedure.
• Effective communication of the results with external audiences.
• Assist with risk/trade performance/management reports.
• Automate work processes and procedures.
• Provide IT requirements for new product development.
• Design and confirm functional specification including application flow, business logics, reports, etc.
• Other projects as assign
Qualifications
• At least 2 year of relevant experience in the financial services industry
• Master’s degree in numerate field e.g. Computer/Financial Engineering/any other science background
• Any level of CFA or FRM is helpful
• Understand Thai Capital Markets, Risk Management, Derivatives models and Valuation techniques, and Dynamic hedging techniques.
• Strong programming skills with knowledge of MATLAB, VBA, Python. Familiar with distributed computing infrastructure.
• Business Knowledge of Banking and Finance and Technical Knowledge to Certain Extent
• User level data-base expertise and data mining ability are required
• Enjoy working on multidisciplinary team to solve analytically complex problems.
• Detail and process oriented.
• Comfortable working in a structured environment that emphasizes operational controls.
• Ability to work on multiple projects, often with tight deadlines.
